Hermitage
Designed and built by David Omick, the 8×16 wood-frame hermitage has a simple sleeping and living area with a small wood stove for winter warmth. An outdoor kitchen is furnished with a propane stove and covered work area. Drinking water is provided by a Berkey water filter to purify rainwater catchment. A metal chimenea is available on the cement pad for small fires. A composting toilet and a primitive outdoor shower are nearby.

When I arrived I was excited for the adventure, but my heart was wearied by the world. As I leave, my heart and soul are nourished and happy, but there is no excitement to leave this deep and spiritual place. But I have been fed, in this house, in this place.
Group Retreat Campground
The group retreat campground may be reserved for tent-camping retreats of up to 8 people. The campground includes a historic shade ramada and a fire ring. A water catchment ramada that doubles as a shelter and is equipped with a propane stove was built in 2020. A composting toilet and a primitive outdoor shower are nearby.

NOTE: The Corbett Center is not open for unscheduled visits or overnight camping.
